How to Start

Three clear steps toward care

You don’t need a perfect plan — just an honest conversation about what’s going on.

Call. Talk. Then decide — in that order.

You may not be sure what you need yet — and that’s okay. Admissions is a conversation first. We’ll listen to what you’re facing, answer questions in plain language, and help you see what a first step could look like without pressure or judgment.

  • 1. Connect. Call (559) 240-9206 or send a message. Say whether this is for you or for someone you love, and we’ll take it from there.
  • 2. Clarify. We’ll discuss what you’re facing, answer questions, and verify insurance benefits when you’re ready.
  • 3. Begin. If treatment is a fit, we’ll guide intake, packing basics, arrival, and first-day expectations.

There’s no quiz to pass and no speech to rehearse. An honest conversation is enough to start. Insurance gets its own conversation when you’re ready —check benefits orhow payment works.

Nice to have. Not required.

Your insurance card, a rough sense of what you’re looking for, and anything urgent about safety will make the call go faster. None of it is a prerequisite. People call us from parking lots with nothing but a phone and a bad week, and that works too.

Is this the right time? Will insurance help? What happens on day one? You are not expected to have those settled before reaching out — sorting them out is literally what the call is for.

What to expect next

Intake, and the day you arrive

On the first call, we’ll ask about what’s going on in your life right now — substance use, stressors that affect recovery, living situation, and what you’ve already tried. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. The goal isn’t to diagnose you over the phone; it’s to understand enough to talk through realistic options.

We’ll also talk about logistics: timing, how insurance verification works, what documents help intake move smoothly, and what the first days of care typically feel like. If you’re calling for someone else, we’ll help you understand how to support them without taking over the process — and when it’s appropriate for them to speak with us directly.

If treatment here isn’t the best fit, we’ll still try to leave you with clearer next steps. Starting care should feel like gaining footing, not getting locked into a decision you’re not ready for. When you are ready, we’ll walk you through intake so arrival feels structured — not chaotic.
